composite sampling meeting with RJN and malasari - 11 03-march 2026
Date: 2026 03-March 11
Stiles

- Spencer Belcher - Loosahatchie sampler - occasional access issues due to mud
- Spencer Belcher - Wolf river sampler - no sampler run this week, to test if the river will back up into the hole, at this river stage. The booster pump might become submerged.
- Mac Compton - Duratracker meter used at wolf river sampling site
- AECOM - What would the city like to see from composite sampling results?
- Series of data points
- wolf river flow based sampling
- 24 hour time based, but not the original / ultimate goals
- H_2S - temporary conduit flexibility
- Spencer / Tioga is removing the booster bump, so sealing is threatened, due to flooding events
- Spencer: flow based sampling has been threatened because the waste water comes up and ruins the devices, so they are removed, inconsistently
- Mac Compton / RJN - The meter and Duratracker was once stolen, from the truck at a gas station
- Februrary and January DMR status: Through Janurary confirmed for Stiles
Maxson
- Presidents Island
- Battery went out for a period on "Habor" meter, Presidents Island

- Mac - they switched out defective sensors and put on an uninterrupted power supply
- Battery went out for a period on "Habor" meter, Presidents Island
- Nonconnah,
- NIS is working like a champ - Spencer
- NO020114, bypass manhole -
- auto sampler that runs off of booster pump, has a grease plug - Spencer. H2S is high, well over 1000 ppm even when there is not a grease plug, around the manhole at that location.
- Mac - depth but not velocity.

- It has been surcharged for a period and has a grease plug
- Malasari - this site has never been able to run as anticipated. SHould we stop counting on it?
- Mac - when flows are reduced on Nonconnah line, they will try to put another area velocity meter (not a non contact meter), downstream of N9
- Spencer - for the project, only 9 samples have been pulled successfully. There are multiple failure modes - grease plugs surcharging as well as hydrogen sulfide
- Mac - this meter was first installed in April 2025
- Spencer - this was where the collapse was at
- Odell - Pivot to another collection site? It would be great to have data here, but we could switch to another manhole
- Mac - let's check the "other manhole" (?), for a short amount of time, then consider alternatives to get usable flow metering
- Horn lake 104
- Has a grease plug - spencer
- flow monitor is running low - it stays on zero for several minutes, though it appears to read
- Switched to load based sampling
- removed whole battery yesterday
- When surcharged, the battery and equipment falls off of the manhole
- horn lake 150

- Might relocate downstream of N9

- In a holding pattern until Maxson can reduce the flow so that they can get in for the installation
- The meter has been ordered. Expected within a week. The previous meter was stolen, out of the truck, worth $30k
- Carl Stevenson - when can the flow be reduced for installation.
- We lost a course bar screen
- In the rain, handling getting flows down and prepped
- 9-10 days target
- Carl Stevenson will confirm with Clayton Bennett to collaborate with Mac Compton concerning when they receive the replacement meter
- 107 - new manhole
